In order to best serve our community, Highland Ridge Hospital offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for mental health disorders as well as chemical dependency. These programs may be used as a step up from traditional outpatient therapy or as a step down from inpatient mental health or chemical dependency programs. Our day treatment program meets for six hours per day, allowing our clients the flexibility to slowly reintegrate back into their community in the evenings.
Our mental health partial hospitalization program provides an intense structure each day to support our clients as they slowly return to their community or begin their path in more intensive forms of therapy. We offer a variety of services to our mental health day program clients, which includes family therapy, individual therapy, skills-building, medication management, recreational therapy, and process-based and psychoeducational group therapies. These therapies are used to help our clients achieve or maintain their optimal level of functioning in their social, academic, vocational, interpersonal, and personal lives.
Our chemical dependency partial hospitalization group is designed for people who struggle with alcohol or drug addiction. Addiction can occur along a continuum of severity; some of our clients will need the constant support of our inpatient detox and rehab while others are able to work on their recovery in a structured outpatient setting. For our clients who do not require the level of care of an inpatient program, Highland Ridge Hospital offers a partial hospitalization program for our chemically dependent clients. This program meets nine hours a day, seven days a week and offers the same level of care and intensity as our inpatient chemical dependency program. Our chemical dependency PHP offers frequent and random drug screening to ensure our clients are maintaining their sobriety while outside our doors. Highland Ridge employs the same caring and compassionate staff in our PHP program and clients will be engaged in groups similar to those in our inpatient rehab program each day. These include 12-step groups, family groups, special issues groups, individual therapy, community milieu groups, family therapy, yoga, psychotherapy groups, psychoeducational groups, and recreational alternative groups. For out of town clients, housing may be available at no cost.
