Highland Ridge Hospital is Now Stabilizing Teens in Crisis – New Breakthru Program
Midvale, Utah – October 17, 2012 – Highland Ridge Hospital is opening our doors to help fill a community need for adolescents in crisis. With suicide playing a major role as a killer of Utah young people and substance use disorders on the rise for teens, Highland Ridge Hospital has answered by designing a program called, “Breakthru”.
John Flanagan, the CEO of Highland Ridge Hospital announced, “We have cared for and treated adults in crisis for over 22 years, but today we are pleased to extend our in-patient services for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Detox to a new population of young people.” The adolescent program is designed for ages 12 to 17.
Highland Ridge Hospital will work with teens in crisis to identify and manage behavioral and psychiatric issues in a safe environment for healing and growth. One of our goals is to educate the community that resources are available and we are here to help anytime of the day or night.
Highland Ridge Hospital has a 24/7 crisis hotline, 1-800-821-HELP. If a teen is on a self-destructive path our experienced staff can help them, Breakthru.
